Hose reels are suited to large areas such as car parks and factories, where portable extinguishers
are solely inadequate.
BS 5306 requires that all hose reels are serviced annually.

A sprinkler system consists of a network of sprinkler heads connected to water pipes.

Buildings above 18 metres will have dry or wet risers, buildings over 60 metres have wet risers.
These need maintaining to BS 5306 part 1, serviced annually and visually inspected bi-annually.
